Mounding Potatoes (ジャガイモの土寄せ)

By Billy Hammond (Copyright AELS) Written on May 23, 2019 I mounded my potatoes yesterday afternoon. Potatoes exposed to sunlight become green due to chlorophyll production and it is often an indication of solanine and chaconine (a glycoalkaloid poison) buildup in the potato, which makes them too bitter to eat. Mounding prevents the sunlight from reaching the potatoes. 土寄せ前(1ケ月ほど前に1回土寄せ済み) Before mounding (I mounded them once about a month ago). By Billy Hammond (Copyright AELS) ************* *********** English books published by AELS (AELS出版英語書籍リスト)   I.
