Down here in Japan, most stores and businesses have parking spaces reserved for the handicapped. The 100-yen shops (dollar stores) also sell handicapped stickers to put on cars being used by the handicapped.

Unfortunately, many able-bodied drivers buy the stickers and paste them on their cars in order to allow them to brazenly use the handicapped spaces. I can’t count the number of times I’ve seen drivers with those stickers (and sometimes without them) pull into handicapped spaces and get out and head into the business with a brisk step and no signs of any disability at all.

There should be restrictions on who can buy and use those decals together with checks by the police and hefty fines for their abuse. People who really need the spaces often can’t use them because they’re being taken up by the cars of these fakes.
