Nowadays, the Net gives you easy access to conversion programs, but in the event you get caught without your smartphone, it’s handy to remember the following equations.

You can use either of the two following equations to convert Celsius (Centigrade) to Fahrenheit.

F =1.8C + 32

or

F = 9/5C + 32

Example: 100°C =?

1.8 x 100 = 180

180 + 32 = 212°F

or

100 x 9 = 900

900/5 = 180

180 + 32 = 212°F

If you need to do the reverse and convert Fahrenheit to Centigrade, then

°C = (°F – 32) / 1.8

Example:

212°F-32 = 180

180/1.8 =100°C

°C °F(摂氏・華氏)

°C = (°F – 32) / 1.8

例:212°F = ?

212°F-32 = 180

180/1.8 =100°C
